Background
The storm that was Set roared out of the desert. Like the titan that he was the god strode. Around his feet came his minions of various sorts. They came like a carpet of darkness upon the land of Egypt. His glowing eyes glared to the north. The forces of Osiris, and his bastard son Horus waited. Set even had to wince a little to look into the eye of Horus, which was the sun. A growl that was like the thunder rolling across the desert grumbled through his colossal chest.

The sight of Horus angered Set to no end. He had killed Osiris, and yet, he had a son by the goddess Isis. Set paused to look back at Nephthys who hesitantly trailed behind him, and wondered if this was her first betrayal. He, Set, should the one to father children, but like the desert he was sterile. Naturally, he blamed Nepthys for this failure.

Soon the two armies came within striking distance, and Set stopped. His minions came to a halt behind him, their darkness spreading to the horizon. Across the Nile River stood the Green God whose very sight sickened Set, and his accursed progeny Horus the hawk headed whelp.

“Ye are a most pert whelp to stand against the Darkness that is,” said Set to Horus. To this Horus turned his eye towards Set and uttered a shriek that shook the world.

“I killed ye once dear brother, and if it were not for the actions of Isis thou would still be but a corpse. Alas I shall have to correct her poor judgment,” said Set to Osiris. The Green God merely looked to the horizon as if Set wasn’t even there.

“So be it,” said Set his rage building, “Have at thou!!!”

Like a tidal wave the forces of the desert, the storm, and the darkness, struck against the forces of the crop, the calm, and the light. Latter on the survivors of who picked up the pieces of the conflict would call this the great flood that covered the world.

As for Set, he did not overcome his brother and his nephew. However, as great as Osiris and Horus were they could not destroy Set. Instead they chained him in enchanted slumber and placed deep under a lake upon high. The enchantment would remain until all of Egypt and the continent were united under darkness. So long as Horus lived on high, they knew Set would remain.

As for Nephthys, she wasn’t forgotten. While she had betrayed Set in the final battle the other gods didn’t trust her. She wasn’t as strong as Set, so was easily managed. Her essence was scattered to the four winds, and the core of her being imprisoned in the Well of Souls for all eternity.

Ten years ago Emilia Howard, a noted Egyptologist accidentally freed Nephthys from the Well of Souls. Nephthys transformed her, and Emilia became a vessel for the goddess. Again Nephthys looked upon the world. Far to the south, Set turned in his slumber, and a dark smile crossed the goddesses’ lips. She knew what she had to do. Nephthys would pay back Horus, Osiris, and Isis for her confinement, and the best way to get back at them was to free her lord and master. It would only be a matter of time.
Area of Operations
The Sons of Set started their expansion campaign among the pyramids of Egpyt, and quickly spread like a cancer. Now the hands of the Sons of Set reaches across northern Africa from Egypt to Morocco in the north to Azambia in the south. Left unchecked the Sons of Set will surely achieve their goal.
Goals
Set has tasked Nephthys with freeing him from his Eternal Slumber. However, as mighty as Set is he's unable to actually assist her. Nephthys, however, is no weakling when it comes to magic. Using her potent magic she has embued a number of mortals to an almost god-like level and granted them names from the Egyptian pantheon. Further she has given lesser ankhs to priests of Set, which makes them as powerful as an Uber. Lastly using the embued followers (Sebek, Menhit, etc), and the Priests of Set, Nephthys has set about to create an army. With that much power behind her, Nephthys is certain to free Set, and bring darkness to the world.
Reputation
The Sons of Set are feared through out Africa and the Middle East. No one is exactly sure of how great a threat the Sons of Set pose. For the past several years the Sons of Set have tried to keep a low profile, but it's obvious to the African Ubers that their power is growing. To most it is Nehebkau the snake masked high priest of Set that is familiar. He acts as the voice of the Sons. However, the power and might of the Sons of Set is even greater.
