Background
The building practically vibrated as booming music and flashing disco lights speared out of the windows in a kaleidoscopic array. A large Moor stood before a red velvet rope and kept his eyes on the milling people who wanted to enter the discotheque. The Comte de Saint Germain watched this all from across the street. He knew that the triplets were inside. The divination that he had done earlier had told him so. The Comte hesitated. The music and the lights bothered him. He fingered his piece of the Philosopher’s Stone and that gave him courage. As he crossed the street he was almost overran by a car; the Comte being unfamiliar with this so-called modern society. The driver called several curses at him before driving off into the night.

The Moor gave the Comte a look over before saying accented French, “Vingt Euros.”

He reached into a hidden pocket in his purple dress and pulled out a small coin. He passed the Philosopher’s Stone over the coin and it transmuted into gold. The Moors’ eyes practically bulged out of their sockets when the Comte gave him the coin. Wordlessly the man reached over and unsnapped the rope and motioned him to enter the discotheque. As the Comte entered he could feel a multitude of eyes watching his movements. He didn’t know which would take longer to get use to; either being in this decadent era or the fact that he was trapped in the body of a young woman. He still wasn’t sure how that had happened.

The music and the lights felt like an assault on the eyes and the ears. A horde of young people filled the dance floor gyrating wildly. This was like nothing he had ever imagined. As he waded into the throng he was bumped into by a half-naked man with a fleur-de-lys tattooed just above his left nipple. He eyed the Comte like a wolf. He flushed a little but did his best to ignore the youth.

He spotted the triplets dancing by themselves near a gangly youth who looked almost as out of place as he did. The triplets were unmistakable with their snowy white hair. The Comte that knew many of his friends would have loved to paint them among other things. As he approached them all three snowy heads came up and three pairs of eyes stared at the Comte. One, the most aggressive of the trio stepped forward as if to protect the others. The Comte felt a force starting to envelope him. His hand tightened on the potion that was hidden up his sleeve. This brought a smile from another of the sisters and the third speaking in a compelling voice, her eyes looking white in the flashing lights said, “Vous ne voulez vraiment pas faire ça”

“Et je vous recommande que vous ne faites pas cela non plus,” challenge met and the force around the Comte faded quickly to nothing.

“Mon nom est Yvonne et ce sont mes sœurs Yvette et Ynez. Oh, et il s'agit de Jean-Claude.”

Yvonne said this nonchalantly over her shoulder at the boy standing intently at her. Jean-Claude merely nodded in acknowledgement before returning to stare like a moonstruck calf at Yvonne.

“Je suis le Comte de... euh...Claudine de Saint Germain, mais vous pouvez m'appeler L'alchimiste.”

“Pouvons nous parler. Je connais vos talents et je pense que nous pouvons tous tirer profit d'une association mutuelle. "

“C'est une soirée privée ou si n'importe qui peut adhérer?” a voice came from behind the Comte.

He turned his head to see the youth from earlier along with an odd looking girl with red hair; the look of mischief played in her eyes.

Yvonne came laughing over to the bare-chested boy and said, “Il s'agit de la Foudre. Mieux de faire attention pour celui-ci."

Foudre scowled at this remark.

“Et c'est...” he looked at the red head.

“Appelez-moi Cyclone," she said and as she said it a slight breeze blew through the group.

“Comme je le disais. Je suis l'Alchimiste et je pense qu'avec nos talents conjugués, nous pouvons atteindre la grandeur."

“Tant que nous pouvons avoir du plaisir," Cyclone chimed in.

The Comte smiled at this; soon after all chaos broke loose in the discotheque. Winds blew out the windows of the building and furniture shattered against walls thrown by invisible hands. However, it was the acts of almost mindless youths attacking each other that seemed to be the oddest. When the police arrived the situation quickly became a riot. However, even the national police were unable to contain the rioting. In the confusion, Jean-Claude had donned his powered armor and the Dragoon was tossing police cars. More specialized police were called in. The fighting went on into the wee hours of the morning. Three other talents youths, Maxine Uber from Germany joined the fray against the police along with the strange Pénitence who leaped from police to police cutting them down. Lastly out of the darkness came Monstruo a giant of a monster who sent many a police to the hospital.

An urgent call was made to Trinity, but by the time the heroic trio made the scene the fighting had died down. As for the instigators they were not found. However scrawled on the outside of the discotheque were the words “Les Enfants Terribles ont été ici." It was clearly a warning of more chaos to come.
Area of Operations
So far the Les Enfants Terribles have mostly caused trouble in Paris. There have been a few sittings of the group in Switzerland, and a onetime raid against an art dealer in Rome. Who knows where next the Les Enfants Teribles might strike next. On occasion Maxine Uber has been seen in Germany. The group travels a lot, more often on errands by L’achemiste to gather the unique ingredients for his Elixer of Life potion.
Goals
The goals of the Les Enfants Terribles are many and varied. L’achemiste claims to be the leader of the group, but the de Montceau-les-Mines might have a different view on the subject, especially Yvonne de Montceau-les-Mines, and not to mention Maxine Uber. For the most part, however, the Les Enfants Terribles want to have as much fun as they can get. Their usual form of ‘fun’ takes place in the form of civil disobedience, which usually includes a lot of property damage. Cyclone is usually the leader when it comes to maximum property damage, and she’s followed in this vein by the other strong women in the group such as Monstruo and Maxine Uber. Pénitence likes the fighting, but not for the sake of destruction, but more for the thrill of it all. Being with Les Enfants Terribles is so much different than her life in the abbey. Dragoon on the other hand has nothing against destruction, but takes a more scientific view of it all. For him he’s testing out his powered armor looking for way to improve upon his design.

The other members aren’t so much interested in causing devastation but won’t turn away from a good bit of juvenile antics, with possibly the exception of L’achemiste being that he’s an 18th century alchemist trapped in the body of a teenage girl. His main goal is to gain a new body for him and to recreate the Elixir of Life that he had been working on before his ‘death’. As for the de Montceau-les-Mines sisters they’re in it for the unbridled thrill of causing as much chaos as they can. Maxine Uber is more of a mole in the group, her true loyalties lie with the Kinder der Zukunft and ultimately to the Vaterschmerz. On orders from the Vaterschmerz she is to use the Les Enfants Terribles to further his causes. Lastly for Foudre it is the challenge of taking on foes that he on his own could never take on his own, not that Foudre would ever admit that to anyone, least of all himself. He has been urging the other members of Les Enfants Terribles to take on Trinity so not only could he get another shot at Bastille, but test his mettle against le Crapaud, the Toad.

Reputation
The Les Enfants Terribles is a fairly recent group to hit the super-villain stage and are such considered very much an unknown. EURO has listed them as an emerging threat to European security. However, more level headed super-hero groups have classified them more as a public nuisance at best. So far Les Enfants Terribles have caused a lot of property damage and public disorder more than any other type of crime. Since their breakout riot caused in a Paris discotheque the French super-hero group Trinity has kept an eye out for them. However, the Les Enfants Terribles seem to be going out of their way to avoid confrontation with the like more powerful trio of Sting, Bastille, and le Crapaud.

It remains to be seen how long Les Enfants Terribles will remain as a team. The group doesn’t seem to fight as a cohesive unit, and for the most part the few times that they’ve been photographed it appears that they’re mostly youths. With maturity, it is thought by most of the super-heroes of Europe that the group will go its separate ways. Only time will tell on this subject.
