Growing up in the slums of the city, Domingo Sanchez always had a fascination for bugs. Anything that crawled was interesting to him. In some ways it was the only thing that kept him from running with the gangs. By the time that his uberhuman intelligence manifested at puberty, he already had a collection of nearly a thousand different kinds of bugs.

A pair of brown recluse spiders escaped from his collection and fled jumping onto the furniture and crawling on his parents, and then his brothers and sisters. Within the span of a few minutes, he went from being a poor teenager to being a poor teenager with no family.

There was nothing in the way of family savings, so Domingo began looking for a job, which wasn't easy in a poor city of high unemployment. By chance, he came across a man who was setting up a tent around a rich man's house. After some discussion, the exterminator decided that Domingo knew a lot about insects and took him on as an assistant. He paid Domingo a paltry sum, just enough to survive.

After a while, the teen realized that he was doing most of the work and was getting paid only one part in ten. So, he took a pair of his black widow spiders and left it in the exterminator's respirator mask. He took over the business and did well enough to support his hobby.

He found that he could make insect-like robots that were easier to control than real insects. And, after reading about a contract killing done by someone known as Dreadlock, Domingo decided that he could go into that business and make a better living than being an exterminator in a poor city in a poor country.

Insecto Anaranjado still operates out of Coatepeque, but currently takes contracts throughout all of Central America.

Doing nothing for nothing, Domingo will take on nearly any type of mercenary contract for a price. He has taken on contracts for assassination, kidnapping, guarding persons or facilities, espionage, and terrorism. One of his biggest weaknesses is a propensity to toy with his victims, a trait that has nearly gotten him caught by superheroes.

Although he has a reputation for being a hothead, this is not really deserved. He is cool and calculating. The reputation probably comes from the early days when he needed the money to build his tools.

"Nothing for nothing, or the best for a million dollars. You name the price."

Domingo is a metahuman genius with little other innate powers. He has taken his hobby of entymology to an extreme and has designed robots that mimic a variety of bugs. After his first contract, an assassination, he re-invested the money gained and built a suit of insect-like exoskeletal armor and a sensory helmet. Typically, he puts a substantial portion of his profits back into making more Bug Bots or improving his suit and helmet.

Domingo appears to be a typical human with no overt body abnormalities that display his uberhuman status. There are some who say that he does look slightly insectoid with an oval-shaped body and long, thing limbs. His head is fairly round and his eyes large. He typically wears colared short-sleeve shirts and jeans.

As Insecto Anaranjado, his exoskeleton appears to be a full body suit in the vague shape of a dark orange beetle. His helmet appears ant-like, so if he looks like an insect then he looks like one that no one has ever seen. In small crevices around the belt line and shoulders, he keeps small metal cylinders which contain his Bug Bots.
