Background

Omar al-Rajastani discovered the Gauntlet of Ghazim while he worked as an imam in Mecca. Omar was a noted Muslim scholar, who through his research found the gauntlet. The mystical gauntlet was created before the days of Mohammad and was to have been destroyed when the Prophet threw down the icons at the Kaaba. His joy in finding the gauntlet knew no bounds.

After the elation settled down, Omar had a revelation. There had to be more mystical artefacts just lying around the world with no one with a claim on them. Omar decided that day that they had to be his. No one better stand in his way. They all had to be his.

To aid his search, Omar started a group which he called Fatwa, and his quest for power had begun. In his search for mystical artefacts, Omar who now called himself Imam, has battled SAGE, was responsible for the downing of an Indian airliner, and has stood against the super-hero group the Five Pillars on many occasions. Imam is always on the look out for more mystic artifacts.

Personality

Imam comes across as a calm, intelligent scholarly man. While he’s all these things, he’s also grasping and deceptive, and sees most people as standing in his way. And Imam doesn’t like people who stand in his way. Especially those who deny him his mystical artifacts.

Quote

“That is a most interesting artifact you have there. Please give it to me.”

Powers

Imam is a man with no actual powers. His abilities comes exclusively from the mystical artifacts that he has stolen, bought, or discovered. Two items in particular are his favorites. The Gauntlet of Ghazim allows Imam to throw mystical fire and mentally reach over long distances. The fingers of the gauntlet are also mystically sharp, and Imam can easily cut through steel with them. His second favorite artifact is his Warding Amulet. This artifact protects the wearer from most harm.

Appearance

Imam is an Arab of average height. He has dark black hair and eyes. Like most imams, Omar has a beard growing from his chin, which he has squared. For a costume, Imam wears tan robes, and sandals. Covering his head he wears a light green head cloth.
