Background

Herman Weisser was a peddler whose business had taken a downturn. To stay alive and still have wares to sell he had to take a loan from a banker, who, because of the large risk involved, asked for a steep term of interest. After another year of poor sales, he traveled to the southeast to escape his creditor.

But his creditor's men followed him. Rushing into a butcher's shop to hide, he pleaded with the lady of the place who let him hide there. But that night, the lady visited him. Marishka Hasdeu was pretty and it was easy for Herman to think of her in a sexual manner. But soon after they entered the bed, he felt a painful pair of punctures in his neck. It was fortunate for Herman that he was being followed for instead of having him as a simple blood meal, Marishka, transformed him into a vampire. And Herman was only too eager to help Marishka capture the three men that followed him into her meal.

Herman traveled throughout Europe in the next half century, seeking and slaying his creditor and all that were connected to the man. By the time that his task was through, he fell in with a political movement that made him at home. He is now a loyal member of the Gestapo and highly effective at what he does.

Personality

To Herman, human beings are all either loyal subjects or allies who give him power, or vessels of the blood that sustains his vampiric needs. He looks with disdain upon 'inferior races' (according to his view of the world); such people only fall in the latter category. It is because of this that he has a great affinity with Nazi Germany.

Extraordinarily tough and nimble, Herr Blut also has many powers typically ascribed to vampires. He is able to become a mist or summon a horde of bats. He is able to charm people and, with his bite, change them into vampires obedient to him.

Appearance

Hermann Weisser dresses always in a white suit except on those formal occasions when he must wear his Gestapo uniform. As Herr Blut, he wears a black shirt with red trim, black pants, a red belt with a black 'B' buckle, black boots, and a black cape and mask.
