Background

Dr. Kapitsa was a top tier Russian scientist in his fifth decade of life when he was nearly killed by the Sweeper under orders of the Politburo. The scientist was too outspoken and failed to follow the direction of the Communist Party. And his investigation of Chernobyl would cause an embarrassment to the Soviet Union.

But before he drowned he told his would be slayer about his investigation and the man resuscitated him. After he was revived, he realized that the Soviet Union had him listed as dead and he took advantage of that. Kolya Khanurov, formerly the Sweeper, helped him procure parts from which he built the Dinamo armor suit.

During the next eleven years, Spartak and Dinamo operated as rogue heroes working both for the people of Russian and the Eastern Bloc and working against the Soviet regime.

Personality

Once an active superhero despite his age, Dr. Kapitsa retired after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. He turned his life back to full time scientific research and re-dedicated himself to developing nuclear power and attempted to help reign in other nuclear scientists to keep them from working for terrorist organizations and nations. Currently, he is the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences and, although, he gives advice to his close friends, he will not don the Dinamo armor unless there is a dire need for him to. Perhaps one day he will bring it from the vault where it is kept and give it to a worthy man who could understand its workings and use it for the good of the Russian people.

Powers

Dr. Kapitsa is one of the top scientists in the field of nuclear engineering. There are only a few people who know that he also possesses (but currently does not actively use) the Dinamo armor. The armor both enhances the natural abilities of the wearer and serves as a powerful energy converter.

Appearance

Vladimir will generally be found in a clean suit used in his engineering lab. When at conferences or at other public displays he will wear a suit and tie. The Dinamo armor is generally blue with gold- and silver-colored energy receivers and projectors placed in several locations.
