Background

When Dr Mengele killed Markus Kruger's parents in 1980 he didn't realise that he had stepped into someone else's plans.  Cardinal Syn had already planned to harvest the uber abilities of Markus and when Mengele pre-empted the move, the Cardinal was initially furious.  Syn had been in conflict with the Nazis earlier that century, and eventually saw the opportunity to keep Markus under his own wing while also maintaining a pair of eyes within the Nazi group, Blitzkrieg of which Markus ended up being a part of.

Cardinal Syn was instrumental in suggesting to Mengele that Blitzkrieg should go independent, and did this under the guise of one of Mengele's long-time friends.  Markus took control of the group and led them on a series of terrorists acts designed to destabilise European governments while also promoting Nazism and racial disharmony.

Markus is well aware of his dual responsibilities, but being a religious man, his loyalties are primarily with Cardinal Syn.  He harbours a secret hatred for Mengele and would like nothing better than to see Mengele burn for his sins.

Personality
Markus is a man with a persuasive mind and a tendency to sin.  Since coming into contact with Cardinal Syn, Markus feels that he is somewhat protected and goes out of his way to sin, and sin frequently.  He enjoys watching conflict in all its forms and instigates it in those around him, whether they be innocent passers-by or his own team mates.

Powers

Markus is a telepath with the ability to corrupt the views of people around him, most often inciting racial hatred.  As well as a plethora of telepathic abilities, Markus also possesses a degree of telekinesis and the ability to shield his presence from minds effectively making him invisible.  In addition to his uber abilities, Markus also carries 'insurance', a .44 revolver.

Appearance

Corruptor appears in a black armoured costume with a black cape, lined in a dark blood-red.  He wears a bright orange wig to help shield his identity as well as a half-mask.  He wraps himself in the shadows of his cape and can slip into shadows.  Out of costume, Markus Kruger appears more approachable.  He has light brown hair, flecked with silver; and always wears expensive clothing.  He has manipulated the stock markets to become quite rich and spends his down-time enjoying the high life.
