Bindiya's mother, Ashwina, was a mystic who turned away from her family when she met and fell in love with Ekansh Indrajit, a bright young physicist from Kolkata. The convergence of magic and science produced Bindiya who grew up to embrace both her mother's affinity with magic and an active ubergene. Her parents helped her manage her new powers and raised her with a sense of honour.
She managed to live two lives: one as an airline stewardess with Indian Airline, and the other as Charm, a super heroine who battled crime across the globe. On a trip to London, Bindiya met Chandrashekhar Lokesh who was a young physicist and the pair began a relationship which mirrored her own parents' courtship. Bindiya took a month off work and spent time with Chandrashekhar, and managed to convince him to return to India when she resumed her job. The pair boarded a plane unaware that it was the target of the terrorist group known as Fatwa. During the flight, Fatwa attacked and disabled the plane sending it plummeting into the ocean.
Bindiya managed to slow the descent, but it was Chandrashekhar, who was secretly an uber, who managed to slow the plane enough for a safe landing. Both Bindiya and Chandrashekhar realised that each had been withholding important information about each other, but the secret brought them even closer together and they married within the year.
Chandrashekhar moved to Kolkata and began working for the government, while Bindiya continued to fly part-time. Both of them also enjoyed their adventurous lives as Charm and Zone and began to receive acclaim across Eastern India.
The Assembly invited them to join and they agreed, although Bindiya has reservations and doesn't like the way her husband seems to be becoming more ambitious the more time he spends with Fusion.
is a calm and affectionate woman who believes the best in people.
She is naturally charitable and friendly and has been raised by loving
parents. She expects the world to return her good will, but since
joining the Assembly she has seen a side of life, and her husband, which
she hadn't expected. She is violently opposed to further expansions
of India and has caused a stir amongst the team. Chandrashekhar has
admonished her privately which has caused friction in their marriage.
Bindiya is currently hoping to get pregnant and believes everything will be fine if that happens.

Charm was trained in the mystical arts of her mother and is able to communicate with animals and people through a psychic bond. She is also able to see into the past and possesses a degree of magic resistance.
Her uber abilities include a formidable telekinetic power which manifests itself as the animation of inanimate objects, most notably her ability to use everyday objects as makeshift aircraft. She can manipulate objects, such as chairs or tables, to travel through the air.
Bindiya is an attractive woman with long brown hair and an olive complexion. She has an easy smile and light laugh, and is popular in both her roles: as stewardess and super heroine. As Charm, she wears an armoured costume which is white with lighter green belt sash and boots. She wears a thin green cape which is clasped with a red amulet. She also wears a mask to conceal her identity.
