Background

Sarah Holden found having a child was more of a burden than she had anticipated. She had been sure the city councilman would pay her off to keep her quiet as soon as he found out she was pregnant but she had underestimated him. He had found someone willing to claim responsibility for the child, no matter that Sarah had never laid eyes on the guy before, and had managed to have the paternity test confirm the guy's claims.

Over the years Sarah's bitterness grew and when her daughter's powers manifested themselves she came up with a plan. She would have her daughter pose as the councilman and admit that he had fathered Jessie and had the paternity tests altered. The plan worked flawlessly and the councilman's career was ruined.

A few nights later the apartment building Jessie and her mother lived in caught fire killing her mother and several others before firefighters could contain the blaze. Jessie was sent to foster care where she spent the next year moving from one foster home to another.

During this time she honed her powers, seeing how close she could come to mimicking the people around her. It wasn't long before she began stealing her foster parents IDs and using them to get into local clubs. It was at one of these clubs she first heard the rumors about how her apartment building really caught fire. A quite drunk young man was telling one of his friends how he had been making money on the side and was listing the buildings he had burned.

Jessie was sure she knew the reason the arsonist had been hired and by whom so she set out to take her revenge. Over the next several weeks she posed as various members of the councilman's circle of acquaintances and learned his schedule. When she was sure of when he would be alone she killed him and walked out without anyone ever having known she was there.

It did not take her long to realize she had found her niche in the world and began to sell her services as an assassin. She also used her power to collect blackmail on most of the city's officials thereby ensuring they didn't make too much of an effort to solve some crimes.

One of her hits involved being paired with a, she thought, wanna be villain called Wraith. She discovered her initial fears of him ruining the hit were unfounded and welcomed the help. Not long after she realized she was in love and the two decided to marry.

It was the happiest time in her life. They were young, rich, powerful and in love. What could go wrong?

Operation: SANDTRAP was an FBI operation designed to subvert criminal alliances and take down dangerous superhumans. At the heart of SANDTRAP was a cadre of undercover superhuman agents. One of these agents, Diana, met Wraith and Copy Cat and slowly worked her way into their group. She soon found that the couple was married and decided to use that to her best advantage.

While Copy Cat was away on an overseas mission, she seduced Wraith and began to have an affair with him. This affair on again and off again as Copy Cat's schedule allowed lasted for six months. When Diana sprung the trap, Copy Cat was devastated and swore revenge on the pair.

Copy Cat barely managed to get away and made her way to Europe.

Personality

Jessie is a quiet woman who thinks before speaking. She does not really enjoy killing but knows she is good at it which is important to her after all the years she had been told she was a mistake. Her love of Wraith is as strong as the day they were married and, while she no longer wants to hurt him, she no longer trusts him.

Copy Cat is able to take on the appearance of anyone Jessie has ever seen. Female, male, short, tall, thin, fat, it does not matter. Over the years she has also learned the use of many different types of weapons and can, with great effort, form her body into a living weapon.

Jessie is a good looking woman of average height. She is meticulous about her appearance and is always well groomed. Her powers give her the ability to look like anyone, or anyway, she wants but she usually prefers to keep her true appearance when not on a hit.
