Background

Tavin was born into a highly religious family. They were Jehovah's witness zealots, His mother had minor mental problems including paranoia and delusions. When her baby began playing with his own shadow and making it create shapes and enlarge, her delusions and paranoia went into overdrive and she assumed the baby was really the devil. She attempted to kill the child, out of instinct he used his powers in defense, The entire house burned with an unearthly black flame, the window exploded in and the next door neighbor and elderly japanese man rushed up grabbed the baby and escaped moments before the house collapsed. Everyone in the house was supposed to have died, so the man hid the boy until the uproar died down. The old man moved to Washington DC and claimed the child as his grandson and that he was the guardian since the parents had died. The boy was raised as the man's own. Daichi (the man) taught the boy many things about life and about the boys powers. By the time the boy was 10 he could control his powers with but a gesture and was learning new ways to use his powers. Tavin was also learning how to defend himself physically. It turned out that Daichi was the last ninja lord from a bygone age, he also had a power, he could control time in a very minor way but he could control it. His most powerful ability was that he aged much more slowly than normal. Daichi was nearly 1000 years old, he taught Tavin the secret ways of ninjutsu and what it meant to defend people.

Tavin was drawn to being a hero, but didn't like all the rules, his Grandfather encouraged his enthusiasm and taught him quite a bit about the grey area of the law.

He entered high school this year, and as a freshman has had a few problems.

Personality

Tavin is a young man who really desires to help people and he isn't afraid to bend the rules to make it happen. He looks at the big picture, the greater good.

He is an excellent hand to hand fighter, and he has some control of shadows. It protects him, helps him move, and forms attacks for him.

Appearance

Tavin is a very good looking 14 year old boy of indiscriminate ethnic background. He has olive skin and green eyes with golden highlights. His hair is black and hangs down to his shoulders. He wears whatever is proper for the moment.

When fighting crime he wears a variation of a ninja outfit.
