Miff Alexander was naturally gifted in the field of Information Technology. From the age of 12 she could create complicated programs for different tasks, inventing and creating games for her friends to play on their Desktops. She studied Information Technology at College and breezed through every challenge put before her.

She soon got a job with a developmental lab for a big IT company in Montreal and was quickly promoted. A large part of their experimental work was in the field of connecting the human brain direct to a computer through an interface. Miff wanted to try it on a human rather quicker than her superiors did and deciding that they would take forever to move to this stage, made the decision to use herself as the guinea pig. Her superiors were unfortunately proven right. When Miff used the interface things went very wrong and the computer network downloaded all its systems through her carried by a big burst of electricity.

Miff later awoke and picked her self up off the floor where she had collapsed. She seemed to crackle with electricity and became dizzy again. As she reached out to steady herself she touched one of the input ports and found she could enter her consciousness into the computer and move from file to file in a flash. She was still able to access her computer skills, but now she was so much quicker. She soon recovered her composure and found she could travel the network at the pace of electricity. Finally she took her mind from the computer and found herself a semi transparent being that with considerable effort could change back to human form. She found that she was charged with electricity and could move effortlessly. She could run faster than the fastest athlete. Her natural state was now a being of electricity.

Miff was in a bank when she saw a robbery in progress. She sped to where the villain stood and before he could react he'd been shocked by her touch. He collapsed and then before anyone could clearly see what had happened Miff ran from the bank at a high speed.

She has now stopped many crimes, sometimes by following emergencies, sometimes by prowling the back streets of Montreal. People she has rescued have asked her what her name is and Miff has started to call herself Cyba.

She has now found that she can download a limited number of information files straight into her head, thus making her a walking database.


Cyba is enjoying her new way of life. She is a fairly straightforward carefree girl but has found she likes being the mysterious hero who just appears like a ghost made of electricity and then speeds off just as quick. She has seen her bank account start to drop and now does IT based work from her home. She finds any challenge incredibly easy now that she can direct her mind along the Cyberways at will but gets well paid for it.

Miff certainly doesn't want to kill anyone and will only shock with enough power to stun a villain. Miff is looking for new challenges as she is beginning to realize perhaps she can do more good with her powers and is frustrated that there is no local superhero team that she can put herself forward for.

If she has a flaw it is that she can not abide people who waste their talents. She will preach to anyone who she feels is doing this. She has also started scorching her signature as Cyba next to captured villains in a nearby wall or on the sidewalk. She doesn't really know why she feels the need for recognition but does not see any harm in it.

Miff is now happier in Electricity form but does not mind whether she is in the material world running at incredible speeds or pushing her mind into cyberspace. She will still return to solid human form for appearances sake when she feels it is appropriate and is required to when in base.


"I'm shocked at you!"


Cyba's normal form is energy that can move very fast. She can push her mind into cyberspace where she must maintain concentration, however she is still vaguely aware of what is going on around her in the real world during these times. Cyba can also hold a certain amount of information as a kind of data base in her mind. This can only be changed by rebooting from a computer. Interestingly when she pushes her mind into cyberspace she returns to solid form.

When in energy form anyone that touches her will automatically be shocked. She has no control over this. She can also shock foes within a meter of her. She can do this to more than one person at a time.

Water can affect her powers. A fine or normal rain is fine but a real downpour or a water attack can cause havoc with her energy body, although her human body is not affected. She can also be hurt normally by energy attacks.


Miff looks a lot younger than her age when in solid form. Sometimes people don't take her seriously because they think she is a teenager. She is short and slim which only compounds the appearance of youth. She dresses quite fashionably and likes to wear clothes that accentuate her narrow waist, big belts being her favorite.

If Miff is annoyed or excited electric sparks race across her eyes which catches people's eye when she is talking to them, especially in dim lighting or darkness.

When in energy form she appears as a glowing sparking ghost. She can not float or fly. She has managed to steal a formula for a cloth from a dubious company?s database that does not destruct when she turns to energy form. She has paid to have a body suit made to maintain her modesty when returning to human form. It also gives a little protection against bullets and conventional weaponry. She feels guilty about this theft but consoles herself it is for the greater good.
