Anvar Alizade grew up with music. His father was a travelling musician, an asiq; and as he grew up Anvar would accompany his father on long journeys across the country. The asiq was responsible for the preservation of oral traditions and the Alizade family had been entrusted with this role for centuries - give or take a generation. On his journeys, Anvar witnessed suffering and celebration and came to love life. He had a gift for storytelling and went to study in Moscow when he was fifteen. On route to the Russian capital, Anvar and his travelling companions were attacked by Oktober and spilled on to the highway. While Anvar watched his friends being killed, he felt a splitting headache overcome him.

When he woke he had been taken to the resident evil scientist of Oktober, the Professor, who had already begun experimenting on the young Azeri. Anvar was an uber, and Oktober had decided to harvest a new generation of Russian ubers to create an army of willing superhuman subjects. Anvar didn't listen much to the rhetoric, but when he was eventually freed by Russian Dawn, he agreed to return to Azerbaijan rather than continue on to Moscow.

He was in a daze for several weeks. His head had expanded and in his eyes he looked like a freak. His eyes had been replaced by cybernetics on a whim by the mad professor, and his parents didn't seem to know what to do. His father began to stay away on his journeys longer and longer and his mother kept herself busy with the younger children.

And then a monster came crashing through their front wall, blown there by giant dragon which had been conjured by a cult of Black Skull adherents. Anvar didn't really understand the devious plot of the priests or the origins of the dragon, but he suddenly found himself with something to do.

He evacuated his family and began helping the neighbours escape into safer homes. He returned to help the fallen Div and together they managed to defeat the dragon and cultists. At the end of the day, the chirpier Anvar found himself a new friend in the giant monster. Together they decided to team up and protect their country from threats, and it didn't matter that they were slightly freaky. In a way, it made their friendship even stronger.


Uzan is a happy and idealistic young hero who has been working with Div since he was a teenager. Now that he is twenty he has matured into a level-headed man with the capacity to increase his brain power and siphon intelligence from those around him. He enjoys his life with Div and doesn't try to keep his hero and private lives separate. He doesn't fear the people of Azerbaijan and believes that anyone who would take the time to hunt him down and hurt his family are really only complimenting him on his abilities. He is optimistic although the bright outlook can sometimes cloud his judgment and he regularly throws caution to the wind.

Uzan has control over bio-electricity which enables him to tap into his own energy and the energy of other living creatures. At the moment he is able to siphon the intelligence of other people and add it to his own brain, as well as creating shocking energy blasts which fire from his oversized head. He is resistant to energy in general, and is able to channel it to boost his energy blasts.

In addition to his uber abilities, Uzan has also been modified by the Professor (a mad scientist) and possesses cybernetic optical implants which allow him to see into the infrared spectrum as well as magnifying abilities.


Uzan is a young man with an oversized egg-like head. He has come to accept his deformity and doesn't try to cover it up. When in uniform he wears a blue and yellow bodysuit with ruby-red disks on his belt and a band around his forehead. When he activates his powers the ruby resonates, and his energy blasts seem to leap from within the gem.

Out of uniform he likes to wear tracksuit pants, preferably Adidas. Uzan is an upbeat kid who enjoys hearing himself talk and doesn't really sit back and watch. He is more of an active person who is ready to make mistakes and apologise for them later.
