Background

Umbra has been around for a long time and has seen her land, and her people, colonised, divided and recently reunited under the Assembly's campaign of reunification. She has spent time as a priestess, a healer and a traveller, but since Ganesh's return to the Earth she has found herself bound to his service. Her movements have been restricted and her powers have been harnessed by the Hindu God.

Umbra has shown her dislike of this arrangement, but she is unable to free herself. She has been a member of The Assembly since its inception although she has been on the sidelines for most of the time, being used by Ganesh as a servant or scout.

Personality

Umbra is enigmatic and enjoys being the 'wild card' of the team. She dislikes her current situation and longs for the freedom she enjoyed before Ganesh's return. She upsets the other members of the team by being overly morbid, often visiting funerals and places of death at inopportune times. Part of her fascination with death has to do with her growing dissatisfaction with her extended lifespan.

Powers

Umbra is a sorceress with powers connected to the Shadow Dimension. She is able to harness the shadows in a variety of ways including dark lightning, manacles and veils which cover an opponent's entire head. Her most powerful ability is to awaken the dark desires in others, cloaking them in a shadow sheathe and commanding their movements.

Appearance

Umbra wears a dark blue cloak and that is all. She enjoys being naked, slipping into shadows as easily as a second skin. Her skin itself is blue and distinctive, adding to her otherworldliness.
