Background

In 2002, Professor Fabrizio Musculla chose Luca Bresciano to be his successor as Solar Centurion II. Luca had been his student for five years and had been involved in an archaeological dig in Algeria which had brought the two researchers into conflict with the Sons Of Set. Fabrizio had donned the Solar Centurion armor but had been severely outmatched. After escaping with Luca, Fabrizio realised that he was no longer strong enough to continue the tradition.

Luca made a fine protégé.

He initially joined the Brotherhood but soon found that working alone was more suited to his temperament. Luca was a scholar first and an avenger second. He focussed his attention on northern Africa and more specifically on a rematch with the Sons of Set. Over the next four years he managed to anger Nephthys but never actually gained much in the way of success against her expansive empire.

Luca maintains his residence in Italy, mostly in Rome, where he helps to protect his home land as well as launching missions into northern Africa.

Personality

Luca is idealistic and keen to carry on the tradition of Solar Centurion - a hero he worshipped as a youngster growing up in Rome. He is young and believes in right and wrong, something which gets him into all sorts of trouble with Musculla's daughter: Solaris of the Brotherhood. Luca is in love with her, but can never manage to express himself. It is a constant frustration.

Powers

Solar Centurion wears a mystical suit of armor that is powered by the solar rays of the Sun. The armor allows the wearer to generate solar-like powers. Using the suit, the wearer can project blinding flashes of light, or light energy that causes devastating damage. The armor also protects the wearer by generating a powerful force field. It also provides protection from light based attacks. While wearing the armor, it generates a breathable environment for the wearer, and further protects the wearer from the elements.

When wearing the armor, Solar Centurion can even fly.

However, when the armor is exposed to the sunlight, the powers granted by the armor is almost doubled in effect. Also the strength of the wearer is magnified to super-human levels, so long as the wearer is in the light.

Appearance

The original Solar Centurion armor appeared to be Roman. It looked like it was made out of gold and was quite shiny. Since entering battle with the Sons Of Set, Luca has managed to lose great parts of the armor and replaced them with state-of-the-art body armour. The energy is still generated within what remains of the armor and Musculla hypothesises that the power lies within the metal itself and it doesn't matter how much of it there is. Luca is unsure of that, and worries that he is losing the power bit by bit.

Out of his armor, Luca is an attractive young man with blonde hair and green eyes which mark his French roots.
