The embodiment of the ancient goddess Menhit, Shakhete Kamel was discovered by Nephthys leading a group of business executives through pride lands of northern Sudan. When Nephthys decided to have some fun at their expense, only Shakhete managed to survive, and with that survival she was transformed into a godlike being, taking on the aspect of Menhit - "She Who Slaughters".

Shakhete found her new powers intoxicating and followed Nephthys, her new mistress, back to Egypt willingly. She became the Goddess' right hand during her formative years colluding behind the scenes in the Egyptian government, and has proven herself worthy of the name Menhit.

During one encounter with The Hunt, Shakhete came to blows with The Hunt's leader, the Savage Lion. Since then she has found herself fantasising about the Man Lion and hopes to capture him one day in the future so she can explore the possibilities of a successful pairing. At the moment she is too preoccupied with assisting in the return of Set, but will take up the opportunity if it presents itself.

Menhit is known as The Slaughterer, and her personality has developed along these lines since she was bestowed with godlike abilities. She relishes the opportunity to draw blood and, although she no longer needs to eat for sustenance, Menhit finds it refreshing to drink the blood of humans. She is cold hearted and has no mercy.

Before the transformation, Shakhete was a thoroughly professional, and often detached, woman intent on keeping everything in its place. As a goddess, she now has the power to do as she pleases and has managed to create a comfortable lifestyle for herself which is separate to that of Nephthys' assistant.

"I will see you on your knees before me."

Menhit possesses godlike powers, including incredible strength and resistance to injury. She enjoys an impressive regenerative system and has never met her match in combat. She no longer needs to breathe, eat or sleep; and is comfortable in any environment - and just as deadly. Her claws have shed more blood than she can truly recall, and are sharp and lethal, leaving little to chance.

Menhit is a strong and impressive woman. Some people would consider her intimidating. She has thick reddish-brown hair which falls to her shoulders which is usually tied back in a ponytail, although in combat she allows it to rise out like a lion's mane. She wears very little clothing but always looks immaculate both in her civilian guise and her battle hardened one.
