Background

Guy L'Estrie wasn’t the only genius in the L’Estrie family as far as Jean-Claude L'Estrie was concerned. While Guy was an expert in cybernetics and the super-hero Armstrong as well, Jean-Claude was a self-professed genius when it came to powered armor. All of this for a boy of fourteen and to make matters worse as far as Jean-Claude was concerned he was only twelve when he first conceived the Dragoon Mark I powered armor suit. No one took Jean-Claude seriously except for his cousin Rene, who encouraged him in all his endeavors.

When Jean-Claude was sixteen and on his Mark V version of the Dragoon powered armor suit that he met the de Montceau-les-Mines sisters. The sisters were identical in appearance but Jean-Claude only had eyes for Yvonne de Montceau-les-Mines. She just seemed to speak with him without words. Her eyes seemed to shine when she talked to him. Before Jean-Claude knew what was happening he was talking to Yvonne about every aspect of his suit with her. Later that night the pair broke into L’Estrie Industries where Jean-Claude stored his powered armor. It was Yvonne who convinced Jean-Claude to use his suit for some fun; just a little civil disobedience she told him. He was so smitten with Yvonne that he didn’t give it much thought. He wasn’t even jealous when Yvonne introduced him to Foudre, an arrogant kid if there was ever was one. Foudre was pleased to have such a powerful person join Les Enfants Terribles.

Personality

Jean-Claude has proven to be a gullible person. This has allowed Yvonne to manipulate him easier. Overall he’s a very socially awkward person one of the main reason he keeps so close to Yvonne. At times his gullibility has allowed his opponents to easily fool him.

If there’s one thing that Jean-Claude is interested in besides Yvonne it would be his powered armor. He’s constantly working on his armor and Yvonne is the only one who can get him away from it for any matter of time. Left to his own devices Jean-Claude would ignore the entire world so long as he could work on his armor.

Yvonne is the only thing in Jean-Claude’s life that is more important to him than his armor. There is nothing that Jean-Claude won’t do for her. So far he hasn’t notice the way Yvonne actually treats him.

Powers

Jean-Claude wears a sophisticated suit of armor of his own design. The armor augments his strength to the level that he can easily lift a subway car over his head. The armor also enhances his reaction time, speed, his ability to resist being knocked out, and makes him quite impressive. The Dragoon powered armor is made of a titanium alloy that protects the wearer from almost any physical harm. Jets are built into the boots of the armor that allow the wearer to fly. The enhanced strength and the flight capabilities of the suit are powered by an ultra-thin high density storage battery built into the lower back of the suit. The batteries of the suit are recharged by microscopic solar panels that are interwoven throughout the armor.

There is a small on-board computer built into the suit that feeds infrared and ultraviolet data to the visor that Jean-Claude wears. Furthermore the visor that he wears protects him from bright flashes. The suit also has a built-in radio transmitter which allows Jean-Claude to receive as well as send radio signals.

Appearance

Jean-Claude is a muscular built teenager with dark hair that is always sticking up. In his Dragoon guise, he wears a suit of high-tech armor which he designed himself. The suit looks like plate armor of an ornate design. The color scheme is green with yellow piping. There are large shield-like forearm guards as well as large shoulder mounted spaulders. The armor doesn’t have a helmet, instead Jean-Claude wears a green visor that protects him from flash attacks as well as protects his identity. An insignia of a hexagon in yellow is painted in the center of the chest plate.

Outside of his Dragoon powered armored suit, Jean-Claude dresses in casual clothing. Jean-Claude isn’t much into fashion, no matter how many times Yvonne takes him shopping.
