Background

After landing a job at Oleo Industries, Luis Miguel managed to land lucky break after lucky break, first getting a promotion to the CEO's office and then being accepted as one of only three admin assistants to accompany the CEO on an experimental oil expedition. Luis Miguel didn't think of the dangers, and only saw his future - all bright lights and smooth moves at parties. The expedition left Sao Tome in a state of the art submarine but soon drew the attention of global pirates, Deep Six, who attacked and took control of the submarine, issuing a ransom to the Portuguese government with a 24 hour time limit.

The Portuguese government had no way of paying the ransom, and weren't actually involved directly in the expedition anyway, so in the following 24 hours there were many harried conversations and meetings in the European Union and in Africa with Africa Force. With only an hour remaining to the deadline, Africa Force launched a rescue mission and arrived underwater to find the submarine completely abandoned, with only minimum power remaining.

While the governments and corporations were bickering over the ransom, Treasure and her pirates had raided the submarine for all of its experimental technology and also unwittingly causing it to shut down, depriving the occupants of air. Only Luis Miguel survived and he was so traumatised that he was taken to a hospital on Sao Tome where he remained for nearly a year in and out of trances. He received psychiatric assistance but would never have recovered without the onset of his telepathic powers which appeared during his hospital stay and allowed him to begin living his dreams as part of reality. He relived his hostage situation every day but slowly reorganised events in his mind so that he survived along with his employer and friends. Somehow this managed to return Luis Miguel to a mostly balanced mind. He convinced the doctors that he was better and returned to Oleo Industries in a diminished capacity.

While he looked like he was coping on the outside, within his mind Luis Miguel was constantly reliving moments of his life - from what had happened five minutes earlier to times when he was a child. His mind seemed to be able to recreate any memory and to reform it into anything he could imagine. Soon he turned his attention to his colleagues - a pretty assistant at the desk next to his suddenly found him very attractive and agreed to marry him; he could read his boss' mind and knew exactly what the old man wanted to hear. Suddenly Luis Miguel was going places again.

These petty manipulations inevitably led to more criminal ones and so 'Cabeca de Radio' became known across the small island, and even across to the mainland. He revelled in his power, enjoying the feeling he received when he read the minds of people he had taken hostage. He realised that Deep Six were certainly on to something and decided to strike fear into as many people as he could, while also grabbing as much cash as he could along the way.

Since taking on a secret identity, Luis Miguel has begun to separate his mundane life at the office from his larger than life escapades, to the extent that he sometimes thinks the other life is just a dream. The further he goes along this path the less likely he will ever be able to reconcile these two aspects of his life.

Personality

Cabeca de Radio is a mean telepath who enjoys kidnapping people so that he can delve into their terrified minds. He has not killed anyone yet, or seriously harmed them in a physical sense, but the potential is there. He follows a standard strategy of grabbing one or two people (usually young women) and then taking them to a warehouse where he subjects them to terrifying illusions while sitting back and eating fast food while dipping into their minds.

Luis Miguel, on the other hand, is a mostly meek and mild office worker. Since his ordeal with Deep Six, his co-workers treat him like a leper and he therefore has very little in the way of a social life. He does his work well enough, and sometimes dips into the minds of his co-workers, but it isn't until he puts on his costume that Luis Miguel becomes sadistic.

Quote

"A little more gore, a little less lace... that is picture perfect. Ah, the screams... like in stereo!"

Powers

A telepath with the ability to create illusions, read people's minds and control their memories and thoughts, Cabeca de Radio could become a considerable threat. However, he limits his powers to hostage situations and self-indulgent journeys into people's fears. He has revealed low level telekinetic powers as well, although these are sometimes forgotten, such as in the case when Cabeca de Radio was briefly caught by the police and failed to fly away as he had on other occasions. He nonetheless escaped once they arrived at the police station, but it is interesting to note that the man himself seems to forget that he has the ability to fly and create walls of pure force.

Appearance

Cabeca de Radio has a sense of dramatic flair and dresses in dark red leather jacket which buttons to his mouth and provides him with a bit of anonymity (bolstered by his telepathic powers).   He wears an eye patch in honour of his 'founder', Deep Six, and spikes his hair when in costume.  When he is regular Luis Miguel, he wears cheap business attire and his hair is generally lifeless and long, often covering his face.  His entire body seems to lift when he becomes the villain, and beneath his meek appearance is a tougher than expected body.

Given the nature of his abilities, Cabeca de Radio (and Luis Miguel, as well) can change their appearance - subtly or dramatically.
