Long before the fall of communism, Viktor was in business. Coming from a long line of war profiteers, smugglers, and black marketers Viktor was busy man. It didnít matter to Viktor what he was trading in, drugs, and stolen property, to even slave labor. The only thing he had to keep an eye out for was the KGB. He was well aware that if he ran into them, his business days would be over. Little did he know that like most criminals, the KGB had an extensive file on him. Some of his contacts were actually KGB agents. The KGB used Viktor to smuggle things back and forth, from the west into the Soviet Union.

On one trip into Romania, Viktor hid among a troop of gypsies to avoid the notice of the border guards. Typically gypsies have little to do with non-gypsies, but Viktor paid well. One night the gypsies were camping in the woods, when they decided to celebrate a successful crossing in Romania. The musical instruments, and the liquor were brought out, and the party got into full swing. Viktor sat on the back of a wagon watching the dancing. One young woman caught his eye. She had long black tresses that cascaded down her back and she danced in a bewitching style. Viktor was deep into his cup and was very drunk.

After the celebration ran down, Viktor convinced her to step out in the woods with him. Out of sight of the wagons, Viktor ravaged her violently. He always thought it was an accident. She got away from him and fled with Viktor hot on her heels. The woman was so frightened of the drunken man that she didnít look where she was going. Neither heard the sound of the falls, but it was too late. Running full tilt, she fell into space plummeting to her death. In a drunken haze Viktor just watched before returning to the wagons.

However, the gypsies seemed to know what had happened. Several men grabbed Viktor pinning his arms behind his back and frog marched in front of the old crone who ruled the group with an iron fist.

The crone ranted at him in her own language, which Viktor didnít understand at all. He did catch some words like, Ďbeastí, Ďmonsterí, and Ďdevilí. Then the old woman spat in his face. Afterwards all the men proceeded to beat him up. Later Viktor woke up in the back of a wagon, with a silver collar around his neck. A thick chain connected the collar to the wall of the wagon. Viktor tried to get the attention of the gypsies, to no avail. Threats, bribes of money to pleas for mercy fell on deaf ears.

The troop traveled further into Romania, but Viktor remained locked in the wagon. Over the weeks Viktor grew desperate. The gypsies would feed him, but wouldnít let him go. It was during the night when the moon became full that the first change came upon him. Pain wracked his body, and his throat burned. The silver was painful on his neck. Viktor was horrified with his body began to metamorphous into werewolf. He was a prisoner of the gypsies for about two years, and every full moon the change over took him.

Eventually the gypsies made the mistake of returning to Russia. They ran into a military patrol that captured them. When the officer discovered the imprisoned Viktor, a KGB agent was quickly summoned. The agent recognized Viktor from his files. They were going to free when one of the gypsies rushed up and explained that Viktor mustnít be freed because he was a werewolf. The agent thanked the man for the information, and then had him shot. The others were sent to a gulag.

Viktor was moved to a secret base, where he was studied by Professor and several other scientists. During the next few months he was trained how to control his transformation. When it was determined that Viktor was able to control it, he was sent to Afghanistan with the code name of Borzoi, as a member of Oktober.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, Viktor returned to his larcenous ways, making more money than he did before. However, when Baba Natasha came back into his life, he dropped it all and returned to Oktober. The way Viktor looked at it, he could make even more working for Baba Natasha again.

Viktor is a slick character. At times itís hard to distinguish the man from the wolf. He thinks the world is there for him, and has no problem letting the world know it. Viktor is from a long line of liars, and enjoys pulling the wool over the eyes of almost anybody he meets. He has a black spot in his heart for gypsies. He hates them with a passion, and it at those times when heís around him that the true beast comes out. Viktor has no compunction about killing gypsies. Heís still looking for the crone who cursed him. Viktor believes if he kills her then that will lift the curse on him.

"What? You act like you never seen a werewolf before."

Viktor is a werewolf, as the result of a curse. He has three forms: a hybrid of wolf and man, a wolf, and as a man. His hybrid form is the most powerful. In his hybrid form his bite can transmit the curse into a victim. Also his senses are quite keen in they hybrid and wolf form. Damage that isnít cause by silver is quickly healed. Physical the hybrid form is also the strongest and the fastest of his three forms. However, even in his human form, Viktor senses are super-human, and he retains the healing factor that he has in the other forms. Itís when in his human form that Viktor is the most deceptive.

Viktor has three distinct forms. His hybrid form is a combination of a wolf and a man. He has long reddish brown hair in this form along with pale yellow eyes. This form also has yellow fangs and the fingers are tipped with razor sharp claws. The second form is a true wolf form. Again the wolf had reddish brown fur, and itís difficult to tell the difference between a real wolf, and his wolf form. In his human form, Viktor is a somewhat short man whoís slightly balding. Viktor likes to wear bright clothes with a lot of jewelry. His ears are slightly pointed.
