Background

Ever remember that kid from school that nobody seemed to like? The one who was odd and smelled bad too. That kid whom everyone called Belcher, because of his disgusting habits. Well there was such a kid, and everyone did call him Belcher, even though his real name was Kurtz Geruchmann. Kurtz was born in Germany, and at a young age, much younger than most Ubers whose power become evident, had his powers come in full. No one knew who his parents were, but Saul Numan found him in a state orphanage. Doctor Numan recognized the boy for being an Uber, and enrolled Kurtz in his school for the gifted in Vienna.

This was to turn out to be a big mistakes. Belcher was a super-villain in the making. He never got along with any of the other students, especially Tiergarten. Belcher was a bully, and used his uber powers to intimidate the other students. The headmaster was at a loss how to deal with Kurtz. At the time Doctor Numan was in America setting up his second school, and couldnít be reached. However, unknown to everyone at the school, Kurtz just disappeared one day. Some thought that maybe he had joined up with the Misfits of Science, or had been kidnaped by die Kinder, however, neither happened.

Kurtz hopped off a freight train in Seattle, thousands of miles away from Vienna. He had grown weary of the rules at the school. Always a loner of sorts, Kurtz knew he would never fit in with that group of proper upstanding Ubers. His powers would always set him aside from others. Kurtz wandered the streets, stealing food when he needed it. Eventually he found his way into the tunnels under the streets. There he found many odd things. He had heard that Ubers were living in the tunnels , and thought he might fit in with them. For a while, Kurtz considered joining the Outsiders but they reminded him too much of the others at the Vienna school.

Belcher ran into the 666 Gang completely by accident. In a dark tunnel he cam across a pitched battle between the 666 Gang and the Zombies. The leader of the 666 Gang was a handsome youth, whose powers had no effect on the Zombies that were facing them. For Kurtz, Damien was everything that he wanted to be. In that instant, Kurtz acted. Rushing forward he unleashed a belch of pure acid. The Zombies didnít stand a chance against the acid and fell into a pool of muck. Damien was clearly impressed with Kurtzes powers and invited him to join the 666 Gang. Thinking that he could emulated Damien, Kurtz gladly accepted.

Personality

Kurtz has always been a bully. This is a reaction to the way the world has treated him. Kurtz is going to strike first before anyone hurts him. He has always felt slighted, and by pushing people around, Kurtz makes himself feel better. Heís the least liked member of the 666 Gang, but Kurtz still strives for the others approval, especially Damien. It isnít quite like hero worship, but Kurtz thinks the world of Damien, and wishes he were more like him.

Powers

Kurtz is an Uber, whose powers come from two special organs located near his stomach. One organ can generate a power toxic gas, while the other can generate a potent acidic gas. Kurtz is able to burp up a cloud of gas from either organ at will. Those who are subject to the poison gas better have a gas mask handy, and those whoíre confronted with a belch of Kurtzes acid breath can easily be hurt. Naturally Kurtz is completely immune to the effects of his own gaseous powers.

Appearance

Kurtz is a youth of middling height, neither too tall nor too short. He has pasty skin and a bad case of acne. Kurtz hasnít taken care of his appearance in a long time. He keeps his greasy black hair hacked short. Kurtz has a large mouth, which when opened displays a set of bad teeth. He can open his mouth so far that the lower half of his jaw can reach his chest without needing to move his head. Kurtz wears a pea green military jacket over a stained and torn t-shirt, along with black jeans and combat boots.
